As every coin has two sides, every situation has good and bad sides. Similarly, the pandemic which came with coronavirus had its good as well as bad effects on our lives, our mental health, and our personalities. In the span of about two years, the pandemic led to many changes in the human mind. Some changes made people good and some depressed. Personalities changed a lot besides the thing that whether they changed for good or bad but they did. The people who took the pandemic as a time to rest, spend time with their families, and have fun had a good impact on their minds. They understood the fact that there is no guarantee of how much time a person has on this earth, so live life to the fullest and have no guilts of not doing anything in life. One should always see life as an opportunity of doing the best one can but a person always don’t have the energy to be positive towards life.
Facing Mental Health Problems
No doubt the young generation that faced the pandemic alone is deeply traumatized by the illness and all the fear of loneliness inside their minds and soul. The pandemic changed everything including people’s personalities and behavior. Some changed for good and some for bad. If seen from a certain angle, the personalities of human beings that persisted before the pandemic and after the pandemic seem to be a lot different those who spent time with their family or loved ones are somehow in a happy place compared to those who were stuck alone but this is not true for the whole human sector. Also, people from different age groups were affected differently. The children were stuck at home and were bored due to which they were much attracted to the electronic gadgets whereas the people of old age were feeling lonely and similarly like the children were introduced to the electronic world and were keeping themselves busy. If seen from an angle of personality the children were less stressed compared to the children who went to school but were much more bored.
The adults had different concerns about their lives and were sometimes worried about thinking about the future, sometimes happy living in the present, and were mostly having mixed emotions. Most of the people varying from the age group of about 15-40 years of age were facing more mental pressure compared to the rest of the age group people. They were concerned about the life that was in front of them and it’s not easy to live a life where you don’t even know if you will be having a normal life after a certain period or not.

Different Emotional phases
People were going through a rough phase in life which made them feel different emotions every day. Emotions played a major role in the changing personality of people. Some became emotionally weak while some grew stronger, some people lost something in the phase while some gained, some lost the connection they had while some grew deeper connections with people in their life. The pandemic was not an easy thing to overcome in a short span of time and still, people are not over it. The people who were not emotional at all understood their emotions and grew closer to the ones they feel good, loved, and happy. Whereas some people saw such bad days like were turned down and betrayed by the one whom they loved and had the most faith in broke them from inside and made them lose their emotions and become completely emotionless, who did not care what was going on in their life. So the pandemic had a major effect on people’s mental health and emotions leading to a change in personality.
Stress and Loneliness took over
While the pandemic was going on the concentration of stress along with loneliness was increasing. Those who were able to take that out of their mind were not much affected by the pandemic but those who took it on their head got changes in their personalities and depends on the viewer whether they see the new personality as the upgraded one or degraded one, that’s a matter of choice.
Conclusion
If seen in a broad way, without any confusion for obvious reasons the personalities of people changed does not matter whether they changed for good or bad. It is always said that the human mind has the ability to do anything with humans and with other people as well. It is always said that it’s all in the mind and it’s true as well because it’s the human mind only which tells whether something is good for us or not, whether the thing we are doing is going to take us places or throw us out of the place we are currently in. People in the pandemic went through every kind of pressure whether it is financial, emotional, or something else, and in this process of going through everything people changed, their personalities changed knowingly or unknowingly.
The pandemic was a situation that did not have any sure end as well as was ending lives and if you are a person who has your whole life in front of your eyes and can see it ending all of a sudden then obviously it changes the way your mind works and that was something happening with the people in the whole world. People were emotionally broken, had a lot of up and down, were in a state where nothing seemed to be right, and had lots of stress and mental breakdown going inside their minds shattering the person. So, yes the “pandemic” changed people’s personalities and molded different people in different ways and everyone came up being their stronger self.
